Terrance Stanley known as “Terry Fox” was a Canadian althete. He was diagnosed with Osteogenic sarcoma,
known as bone cancer. Unfortunatley having his right leg amputated, just above
the knee he still embarked on a cross-Canada
run. The spread of his cancer eventually made him stop his journey after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres.
In 1980 he began the marathon of “Hope”. Hoping to
Raise one dollar from each of Canadas 24 million
People and overcoming the disease ended shortly
After 9 months when he had passed away.
He was the youngest person in the Order Of Canada.
Now known as a national hero.
